Launch your legal career with the two-year Law Clerk Ontario College Diploma program. This program covers a broad range of legal topics and processes, preparing you for a career as a legal assistant or law clerk. You will gain essential skills for administrative work in an office environment, working independently under the general direction of a lawyer or as part of a legal services team. The dedicated faculty ensures that your skills surpass industry standards, equipping you with the knowledge needed to excel in the legal field.

Program structure

The Law Clerk Ontario College Diploma program is designed to be completed in two years. The program structure includes:

  • Comprehensive study of legal topics and processes
  • Hands-on experience through field placements or in-class simulations
  • Development of essential skills such as client interviewing, document preparation, and legal research
  • Opportunities to work with legal software and maintain corporate documents

Students will benefit from small class sizes, allowing for closer contact with professors and stronger peer relationships. The program also offers the option to continue studies in the Paralegal Graduate Certificate at Algonquin College.
