Academic Requirements

For students interested in the Master of Arts - English - Public Texts (Internship) (MA.ENGL) program, the following Academic Requirements apply:

International students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) from an accredited foreign university degree level program.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
For Vietnamese students, a minimum 7.0 average in Grade 12 (only academic courses are taken into average calculation) is required.
Students in the CBSE curriculum from India are exempted from providing English Language Proficiency test results.
For admission, a final high school transcript and graduation diploma must be provided as soon as they become available.

The Duolingo English Test: 115 (Note: Duolingo is NOT accepted by the School of Graduate Studies at Trent, and is only applicable for Undergraduate applications.)
CAEL | CAEL On-line (starting July 2020): 60.
Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency (Certificate of Advanced English): 176, with no sub-score below 169.
Pearson PTE Academic In-person & Online: 59.
Trent Academic ESL Program: Academic English II with 75% in all courses.
