The Creative Communications program at Red River College Polytechnic is a two-year diploma designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in various communication fields. This program prepares students for roles in advertising, marketing communications, broadcasting, media production, journalism, public relations, and communication management. With a focus on practical experience, students will engage in hands-on learning, allowing them to develop a strong foundation in both traditional and digital media. The program also offers four specializations: Advertising & Marketing Communications, Journalism, Media Production, and Public Relations & Communication Management.

The Creative Communications program is structured to provide a comprehensive educational experience over a period of two years. Key features of the program include:

  • September entry date with an annual application deadline of April 30.
  • Two three-week industry placements to gain real-world experience.
  • Joint diploma/degree option available with The University of Winnipeg.
  • Credit transfer opportunities with Athabasca University.
  • Hands-on learning in dedicated lab spaces, including media production studios and sound editing suites.
