Program overview
Pursue an area of biological science that is rapidly growing and which applies to many day-to-day applications, such as health, agriculture, and industry. The Applied Biotechnology specialization within the Biological Science program combines a primary emphasis on both biology and chemistry, providing students with a competitive edge in this field. Students will gain a strong understanding of cell and molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, and physiology, along with enhanced laboratory experience throughout the program.
Program structure
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biological Science with a specialization in Applied Biotechnology is designed to be completed in four or five years depending on the chosen program load. This program is offered on a full-time basis and includes a direct-entry co-op option, allowing students to apply for co-op positions directly through their Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) application.
