Learn to create impactful, AI-powered content while understanding the people and platforms behind it. You'll build skills in digital storytelling, media production, and emerging technologies, preparing you for careers across industries. With a strong focus on ethics and real-world application, you'll graduate ready to communicate responsibly and effectively in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. AI is transforming how we communicate, create, and connect. In our Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Digital Media Studies (CDMS) – Artificial Intelligence for Professional Communicators specialization, you’ll learn how to use AI and large language models to develop engaging content across various mediums, while building the critical thinking skills needed to understand audiences, platforms, and impact.

Program structure

The Artificial Intelligence for Professional Communicators program is designed to be completed in either four or five years, depending on the chosen path. The program is offered on a full-time basis and includes a variety of experiential learning opportunities. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Direct-entry co-op option available for students.
  • Experiential work term, internship, and practicum opportunities.
  • Research study and undergraduate thesis options.
  • In-class delivery method at Ontario Tech University, Downtown Oshawa.
  • Start dates available in September and January.
