Program Overview

Are you interested in outdoor spaces? Do you have an eye for detail, a flair for design, or an interest in emerging technologies? If so, the Landscape Architectural Technology program at NAIT is designed for you! This program allows students to explore the practice of landscape architecture and the technologies used to create designs and construction drawings for various outdoor environments, including streetscapes, parks, and trails. Students will gain hands-on experience with the latest drafting and modeling technologies, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and ArcGIS.

Program Structure

The Landscape Architectural Technology program is structured to be completed in 2 years (Full-time). The program offers a hybrid delivery mode, combining both in-person and online learning, allowing students to choose the format that best fits their lifestyle. Key features of the program include:

  • Hands-on experience with advanced technology and software.
  • Optional co-op work experience to enhance practical skills.
  • Field visits to various designed locations to observe real-world applications.
