Academic Requirements

To gain admission into the Pharmacy Technician program at Lambton College, applicants must meet the following requirements:

O.S.S.D. or equivalent with a minimum grade of 60% in the following courses:
- Grade 12 English C or U
- Grade 12 Math C or U
- Grade 11 or 12 Biology C or U
- Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry C or U

It is important to note that the admissions process is competitive, and meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to provide documentation of language proficiency. This can be demonstrated through:

Language proficiency test results that meet the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) Language Proficiency Requirements for Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Canada.
Graduation from a high school in Canada with four consecutive, first language English or French courses/credits.
Graduation from a College d'enseignement general et professionnel (CEGEP) in Quebec with four consecutive first language English or French courses/credits.
An undergraduate degree from a university in Canada, whose instruction was provided in English or French.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Additionally, students should be aware that all placements require police record checks and proof of immunizations, which must be cleared through Passport to Placement.

Language Requirements

Admission into the Pharmacy Technician program at Lambton College requires proof of English proficiency through one of the following accepted tests:

IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.0
TOEFL IBT: Overall score of 70
PTE Academic: Overall score of 53
CAEL: Overall score of 60
CELPIP: CLB 7
Lambton Institute of English Placement Test: Overall score of 70
Completion of an English pathway program at a recognized partner school

It is important to note that meeting the minimum Language Requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process. Not all students will qualify for EAP-3106 in place of the required IELTS or TOEFL test scores.
