Program Overview

The Police Foundations program at Fanshawe College is designed for those aspiring to become police officers. This program combines essential academic knowledge of the law, police powers, and community policing with a focus on human relations. Over the course of this two-year diploma, students will gain a solid foundation to compete in the Ontario Constable Selection System. The curriculum not only covers theoretical aspects but also emphasizes practical learning through scenario-based training and fitness preparation, equipping students to tackle the complexities of the criminal justice system and community concerns.
