Program Overview
Do you have a passion for performing? Fanshawe’s Acting for Screen and Stage program inspires students to develop their talents and lays the foundation for a successful career in the screen, stage, and voice industries. Through work with industry professionals and collaboration with other Fanshawe media programs, students will gain creative and technical understandings of the actor's process in various media.
Program Structure
The Acting for Screen and Stage program is a two-year diploma that spans a duration of 60 weeks. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience through:
- Collaborative media-based projects that simulate real-world working environments.
- First-year studies primarily at the London Downtown Campus, focusing on stage performance.
- Second-year studies split between the London Campus and the London Downtown Campus, including film, motion capture, and green-screen work.
- General Education courses taken at the main campus.
- A culminating showcase evening presented by students, featuring a mix of live and projected work.
Students will also have access to dedicated lab and theatre spaces, including the largest green screen TV and film studios outside of Toronto. The program includes opportunities for guest speakers and field trips to gain insights into the professional world of entertainment.
