Program Overview

The Business Administration - Corporate Residency (MBA) program at Dalhousie University is tailored for highly motivated and socially conscious individuals with less than five years of professional work experience. This program is designed to help students pivot from their previous careers or blend their undergraduate degrees with essential business skills. The curriculum is highly customizable, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped to tackle complex business challenges and make a meaningful impact in their fields. This direct-entry program accepts all undergraduate degrees, allowing students to enter the profession immediately after graduation.

Program Structure

The Business Administration - Corporate Residency (MBA) program spans a total of 22 months and is delivered full-time in-person on campus. The program structure is as follows:

  • Year 1 | Summer (June - August): Students complete four core courses and participate in personal and professional effectiveness sessions to prepare for their Corporate Residency.
  • Year 1 | Fall (September - December): This term includes two core courses and five foundation courses, culminating in a competitive, immersive, team-based integrative session. Students also begin the recruitment process for Corporate Residencies.
  • Corporate Residency (January - August): An 8-month paid work term where students apply classroom concepts in a corporate setting, followed by a debriefing session to share learnings.
  • Year 2 | Fall and Winter (September - April): Students complete final core courses and can customize their degree with 9–15 credit hours of electives, with opportunities for international exchange.

This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business while allowing them to specialize in areas that align with their career goals.
