The Digital Content Creation program is designed to equip students with practical, hands-on skills necessary for creating content in the rapidly evolving digital media landscape. Starting in September, students will learn to craft visual, audio, and web stories tailored for various purposes, including marketing, advocacy, public relations, journalism, and research. This program emphasizes a hands-on approach, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the digital media industry.

Program structure

The Digital Content Creation program is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience over a period of 8 months. It consists of a total of 10 courses, which can be pursued either full-time or part-time. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Work Experience Option: Students have the opportunity to extend their studies with an internship, typically scheduled for the summer following the second academic term. This experience allows students to gain valuable real-world skills and industry connections.
  • Flexible Study Options: The program is available for both full-time and part-time students, making it accessible to a wider range of learners.
  • Transfer Opportunities: The program is designed to facilitate transfer credits to other institutions, including UVic and VIU, as well as Camosun's diploma in Arts and Science Studies.
