Program Overview

The Corporate Safety and Security program at Cambrian College is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to maintain law and order in various corporate environments. This program offers a unique curriculum that covers a range of topics, including conducting patrols, investigations, and utilizing security equipment. Graduates will be prepared to enter the workforce with the knowledge necessary to ensure safety in diverse settings such as concerts, hospitals, and educational institutions. The program emphasizes effective communication, conflict resolution, and the management of people and vehicles. Notably, students can earn their Security Guard License after the first semester and their Private Investigator License in the second semester, providing a strong foundation for a successful career in corporate safety and security.

Program Structure

The Corporate Safety and Security program is structured to be completed in 2 semesters over 1 year. The program is delivered on-campus and is designed for full-time students. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Eligibility to earn a Security Guard License after the first semester.
  • Eligibility to earn a Private Investigator License after the second semester.
  • Opportunities to continue into the second year for further studies in the Protection, Security & Investigation diploma program or the Police Foundations program.
  • Hands-on learning experiences through community initiatives and volunteerism.
