The BCIT Broadcast and Online Journalism diploma program is designed to prepare students for a dynamic career in media, focusing on roles such as reporter, newscaster, producer, and online journalist. This full-time program spans two years and begins in September each year. The program emphasizes hands-on experience, allowing students to produce a 30-minute news segment, create multimedia content for BCIT News, and report for the student-run radio station. • Program Delivery: In-person at Burnaby Campus
• Start Dates: September each year
• Work Integrated Learning: Includes a practicum component where students spend time with industry partners, typically lasting four weeks. Additionally, students may have the opportunity to enter a co-op in level four.
