The Associate of Arts degree is a two-year foundational degree that provides students with a broad-based knowledge and experiences, laying the groundwork for further studies or entry into the workforce. This undergraduate program is designed to equip students with multi-disciplinary knowledge in the fields of arts, humanities, and social sciences, while also developing critical thinking and research skills. Program structure

The Associate of Arts Degree is structured to be completed in a two-year duration. The program consists of a total of 60 credits, which include:

  • A minimum of 36 credits in arts, with at least 18 credits at the second-year level.
  • 6 credits in first-year English.
  • 9 credits in science, including at least 3 credits in mathematics, computer science, or statistics, and 3 credits in a laboratory science.
  • 6 credits in social sciences and 6 credits in humanities other than English.
  • 24 additional credits in arts, with 18 of these taken at the second-year level across two or more subject areas.

This program also offers the option for students to transfer to the second or third year of a four-year bachelor’s degree program at a university, providing a pathway for further academic advancement.
