Academic Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology program at York University, prospective students must meet specific Academic Requirements. Language Requirements

To gain admission to the Bachelor of Science - Biotechnology program at York University, you must demonstrate English language proficiency by presenting a minimum score on an accepted language test. The following English language tests are accepted:

• IELTS (International English Language Testing Service, Academic Module): score of 6.5

Please note: The IELTS Academic test is required for admission to York University. IELTS General will not be accepted for language proficiency requirements.

English proficiency tests are valid for a period of two years. If you have completed four full years of study in English at an accredited high school in Canada or in a country where English is the official primary language, you may not be required to submit proof of English proficiency.
