Program Overview

The Associate of Science (Environmental Science) program at Vancouver Community College (VCC) is designed for students who are passionate about environmental sustainability and scientific discovery. This program builds a strong foundation in natural and applied sciences with a focus on understanding the environment and how to protect it. Students will explore climate change, ecosystems, water and soil science, and environmental challenges from both local and global perspectives.

This program is an excellent choice for students who want to pursue a career in environmental science or plan to transfer to a university for a related bachelor's degree. By completing this program, students will earn a recognized credential that meets BC Transfer System standards.

 

Program Structure

Over the course of 2 years, students will complete 60 credits in both general and specialized science courses that are transferable to universities across British Columbia.
