Academic Requirements

For admission to the Bachelor of Arts and Science - Kinesiology & Biological Sciences program at the University of Lethbridge, the following requirements must be met:

Minimum GPA: A minimum average of 65% across five specific courses is required for Canadian high school students in Alberta.
Required Courses:
- English Language Arts 30-1
- Three of the following courses:
  - Aboriginal Studies 30
  - Art 30 or Art 31
  - Biology 30
  - Chemistry 30
  - Choral Music 30, General Music 30, or Instrumental Music 30
  - Dance 35
  - Drama 30
  - Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2
  - Mathematics 31
  - Physics 30
  - Science 30
  - Social Studies 30-1
  - Five credits in Advanced-level CTS Computer Science (CSE)
  - One or more distinct languages at the 30 level
- One additional requirement from the above list that has not already been used, must be at the 30 level, and worth at least five credits.
Program Specifics:
- If pursuing a Bachelor of Arts, only the above requirements must be fulfilled.
- If pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts & Science, or a Bachelor of Science combined degree, three of the courses must include Biology 30, Chemistry 30, and Mathematics 30-1.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases. Vietnam International Students: Require at least four years of study with a minimum overall grade of 7/10.

Language Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Arts and Science - Kinesiology & Biological Sciences (Optional Co-op) program, you must demonstrate English Language Proficiency (ELP). The following exams are accepted:

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) with a minimum total score of 86, and a minimum score of 20 in each section.
Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum overall score of 6.5, and a minimum score of 6.0 in each band. IELTS One Skill Retake results are accepted.
Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced with a minimum score of 176, and a minimum 176 in each subscore.
Cambridge English Qualifications: C2 Proficiency with a minimum score of 176, and a minimum 176 in each subscore.
Academic Pearson Test of English (PTE) with a minimum overall score of 61, and a minimum score of 60 in each part.
Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) assessment with a minimum overall score of 70, and a minimum score of 60 in each component.
Duolingo with a minimum overall score of 120, and a minimum score of 110 in each subscore.
