Academic Requirements

For the Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Professional Accounting program, the following Academic Requirements must be met:

Minimum GPA: A minimum GPA of 70% is required for admission.
Transcripts: Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

A satisfactory score on an English proficiency test is required, and the following tests are accepted:

Carleton Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Academic
Pearson Test of English (PTE) - Minimum score of 65 for IELTS of 6.5, and a minimum score of 68 for IELTS of 7.0.
Duolingo English Test - Minimum score of 120.
International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) - Completion of the ILAC Pathway Program Level 3.3.
International Centre for English for Academic Preparation Inc. (ICEAP) - Completion of the ICEAP Toronto Education Cohort Program with an EAP Certificate and a minimum grade of 70%.

All test scores are valid for 2 years from the date the test was taken, and tests must be valid at the beginning of the term in which a student starts their program.

Additionally, applicants may be exempt from submitting an English language proficiency examination score if they meet one of the following conditions:

Within the past two years, you have completed a university degree at a Canadian institution.
Within the past two years, you have completed a university degree at an institution where English was the primary language of instruction.
