Academic Requirements

To be considered for admission into the Bachelor of Science - General Science + Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program, applicants must meet the following academic requirements:

Minimum GPA: Applicants must have a minimum average of 70% to be considered for admission. The average is calculated using all post-secondary courses taken, including failures but excluding graduate-level courses. The average is based on the 60 credit units of required subjects (weighted as 60% of the admission average) and the cumulative average obtained on all courses at the university level (weighted as 40% of the admission average).

International Students: For international applicants, including those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to ensure that all required documents are submitted, and any specific requirements for international students are met. It is advisable to contact LOA Portal's advisors for any clarification and support regarding the application process.

Prerequisite Courses: Applicants must complete 60 credit units of required pre-pharmacy courses prior to April 30 of the year admission is desired. The following courses are required:

Biology: 6 credit units
General Chemistry: 3 credit units
Organic Chemistry: 6 credit units
English: 6 credit units (must include English Literature and Composition)
Biochemistry: 6 credit units
Physiology: 6 credit units
Mathematics (Calculus): 3 credit units
Statistics: 3 credit units
Microbiology: 3 credit units
Nutrition: 3 credit units
Electives: 15 credit units

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
