Academic Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Science with a Major in Pharmacology at the University of Alberta, students must meet the following Academic Requirements:

Completion of five academic subjects from high school (higher secondary education).
For Vietnamese students, a minimum average of 4.9 in all five required subjects in the graduation exam (Thi Tot Nghiep THPT/Tuyen Sinh Cao Dang-Dai Hoc) is necessary to receive an unconditional offer. Note that no subjects can have a grade below 4, and Civic Education cannot be included in the admission average calculation.
Students applying to the Faculty of Engineering must achieve a minimum average of 6.9 in the same five subjects to qualify for an unconditional offer.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

It is advisable for students to apply as soon as possible to ensure they meet all necessary deadlines and requirements.

Language Requirements

Cambridge English Scale: Minimum score of 180 on C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with no less than 170 in each skill.
Completion of the University of Alberta’s EAP 136/INT D 137.

Additionally, applicants may fulfill the English language proficiency requirement through:

Successful completion of three years of full-time education in English in Canada or in another country where English is recognized as an official language of instruction.
Graduation from a recognized degree program offered by an accredited university where English is the primary language of instruction.
