Program overview

The Logistics and Supply Chain Management program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic is a Post-Graduate Certificate designed to equip students with essential tools for strategizing solutions to complex logistical challenges. This program focuses on developing competencies in planning, sourcing, producing, and delivering products and services. It is tailored for individuals with an existing bachelor's degree who wish to advance their careers in the logistics and supply chain management sector. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on education, preparing students to effectively manage and coordinate all logistical functions within an enterprise.

Program structure

The Logistics and Supply Chain Management program spans a total of 32 weeks, divided into two semesters. Students can start in either September or January, with the following structure:

  • September Intake: Semester 1 runs from September to December; Semester 2 from January to April.
  • January Intake: Semester 1 runs from January to April; Semester 2 from September to December.

This program offers a comprehensive approach to logistics and supply chain management, covering various topics such as acquisitions, inventory control, logistics planning, and quality control. Students will engage in practical learning experiences through case studies, group projects, and advanced simulation platforms. Additionally, the program includes opportunities for work-integrated learning, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Graduates will also have the advantage of advanced standing towards the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP™) designation.
