With cyber threats growing more sophisticated and far-reaching, the need for skilled security professionals has never been greater. Our two-year Cyber Security diploma blends practical learning with a comprehensive curriculum in programming, operating systems, networking, and strategic thinking to prepare you for success in a rapidly evolving information technology landscape. Through guided labs, case studies, and a capstone project, you will learn to identify risks, implement security controls, and respond to incidents with recognized practices and ethical standards.

Program structure

The Cyber Security diploma program is designed to be completed in two years, with two semesters each year. The program includes:

  • Hands-on experience through real-world applications of defensive and offensive security technologies.
  • A strong foundation in networking, tool construction, and operating systems.
  • Industry-relevant skills and expertise needed to protect data and systems.
  • An understanding of the pivotal role cyber security plays in safeguarding data and organizations.

Additionally, students have the option to participate in an optional co-op work term between the first and second year, allowing them to apply their learning in a practical work environment. In the second year, students will also engage in a capstone project that investigates issues across various areas and proposes solutions.
