Program Overview
NAIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Management (BTech) with a concentration in Sustainability Management is a unique program in Alberta and one of the few in Canada. This program is designed for graduates of a 2-year technology diploma, allowing them to earn a baccalaureate degree with just two additional years of study. The BTech degree aims to bridge the gap between technical roles and management positions, addressing the demand for leaders who can tackle technological challenges while making socially responsible and ethical business decisions. Students will develop critical skills necessary to make a significant impact in their organizations and industries.
Program Structure
The Bachelor of Technology in Management - Sustainability Management is structured to provide a comprehensive educational experience over a 2-year period for full-time students. The program includes:
- Three concentrations: Project Management, Operations Management, and Sustainability Management.
- Flexible course delivery options, including in-person, online, and hybrid formats.
- Capstone project that requires students to apply their learning to solve real industry problems.
- Full-time and part-time study options to accommodate various schedules.
Students are encouraged to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and are required to complete a capstone project, which is presented at the annual BTech Capstone Showcase. This project allows students to demonstrate their skills and knowledge to industry professionals.
