Academic Requirements
To apply for the Dual Degree - Bachelor Of Arts - Geography & Bachelor Of Education - Intermediate/Senior (PEB) program, applicants must meet the following academic requirements:
General Admission Requirements:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) including six 4U/4M courses.
Program Specific Prerequisites:
- ENG4U (English)
- One of the following Mathematics courses: MCV4U (Calculus and Vectors), MHF4U (Advanced Functions), or MDM4U (Data Management).
- One of the following courses: PSK4U (Introduction to Kinesiology), SBI4U (Biology), SCH4U (Chemistry), SES4U (Earth & Space Science), or SPH4U (Physics).
- Four additional 4U and/or 4M courses.
Minimum Average for Admission Consideration: 70%

Language Requirements
All applicants to Nipissing University undergraduate degree programs, including the Dual Degree - Bachelor Of Arts - Geography & Bachelor Of Education - Intermediate/Senior (PEB), from countries where the dominant language of instruction is other than English will be required to achieve the required proficiency level on one of the following tests of English language proficiency for admission consideration.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 83 (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading, listening, and writing, and a minimum score of 22 in speaking.
- International English Language Test Service (IELTS): A minimum overall band score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6 in reading, listening, speaking, and writing.
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: A minimum overall score of 58 with a minimum score of 56 in speaking, writing, reading, and listening.
- Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL/CAEL Online): A minimum overall score of 60 with no band less than 60.
- Cambridge English Qualifications: A C1 minimum overall score of 176 with a minimum score of 169.
