Power up your future in the trades with the Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Diploma Program. This program is designed to launch your career in servicing and maintaining the powerful equipment used in various industries such as construction, transportation, forestry, and mining. The program begins with a common first year, providing a strong foundation in mechanical systems and trade fundamentals. Following this, students will specialize in heavy-duty equipment, gaining hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electronic controls.

 

Additionally, students have the option to participate in a co-op work placement, connecting them with industry employers for valuable on-the-job experience. For those not ready to commit to the full diploma, an early exit certificate option is available after the first year, allowing students to receive a Heavy-Duty Equipment / Truck and Transport Certificate.
