The 3D Technologies for Film and Games program at Langara College is a comprehensive diploma course designed for those aspiring to enter the dynamic fields of animation, visual effects, and gaming. This program, which is a continuation of the former 3D Animation for Game, Film & Visual Effects, is set to launch in Fall 2025. It aims to equip students with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in one of the fastest-growing global job sectors. With a focus on hands-on experience and mentorship from industry professionals, students will develop a professional portfolio and demo reel, preparing them for a successful career in this exciting industry.

Program structure

The 3D Technologies for Film and Games program is structured to provide an intensive learning experience over a period of two years. The program includes:

  • Full-time, in-person delivery
  • Six consecutive terms to simulate a real-world production studio environment
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard software and hardware
