Program Overview

The Finance – Business program is designed to equip students with essential skills and training for a successful career in various sectors of financial services. This two-year diploma program focuses on key areas such as financial planning, investments, and life and health insurance. Students will gain a solid foundation in business principles while also preparing for industry-recognized certifications, including the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC)® and the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)®. Graduates will be well-prepared to assist clients in managing their financial portfolios effectively.

The Finance – Business program spans four semesters and is delivered in person at the Oshawa campus. The program structure includes:

  • Comprehensive training in financial planning and investment strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard financial software.
  • Preparation for various licensing exams, including mutual funds and securities licensing.
  • Opportunities for further education, such as the advanced diploma in Finance – Business Administration.
