Academic Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Data Analytics program at Conestoga College, applicants must meet the following academic requirements:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older.
A minimum of six (6) Grade 12 U/M level courses with a minimum cumulative average of 65%, or six (6) Grade 12 C level courses with a minimum cumulative average of 75%. The required courses include:
- Grade 12 English (U or C)
- Any Grade 12 Math (U or C)
- Four (4) other Grade 12 courses
Higher averages may be required for admission due to competition for available spaces in the program.

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, the following requirements apply:

Canadian citizens and permanent residents with transcripts from outside Canada require a course-by-course credential evaluation. This can be requested at a reduced fee through the college or through an approved provider such as ICAS or WES.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
Applicants with transcripts from institutions where the language of instruction is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency.

Additionally, to be eligible for a co-op work term in the degree program, students must meet the following criteria:

Maintain a minimum 65% session weighted average in the eligibility term two academic semesters prior to any co-op work term.
Have a maximum of two failures or withdrawals during the academic semester that occurs in the eligibility term two academic semesters prior to any co-op work term.
Successfully complete all but two core courses, according to the program design, by the eligibility term prior to any given work term.
Students will not be permitted to complete a co-op work term until the above conditions are met.

IELTS Academic: 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0)
