Program Overview

The Business Administration, Diploma - Finance Option at Camosun College is designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in the finance industry. This program offers a solid foundation in business education, focusing on key areas such as financial planning and corporate finance. Students will explore various topics including business finance, investment analysis, money and banking, client relationships, professional ethics, and personal taxation. The program is available for students to start in September, January, or May, providing flexibility in their educational journey.

Program Structure

The Business Administration, Diploma - Finance Option is structured to be completed in a 2-year timeframe for full-time students. The program includes:

  • 20 courses that cover a comprehensive range of business and finance topics.
  • Options for both full-time and part-time study.
  • Co-op and internship opportunities to gain practical experience.
  • Classes predominantly held at the Interurban campus.

In the first year, students will engage in introductory courses in accounting, finance, economics, and marketing. They have the option to exit with a Certificate in Business Administration or continue into the second year. The second year focuses on advanced topics such as money and banking, corporate finance, and investment courses, culminating in the Diploma in Business Administration - Finance Option.
