The four-year Bachelor of Public Safety (Honours) degree program provides both theoretical knowledge and hands-on instruction. This program equips students with a systematic approach to public safety, enabling them to counter, coordinate, and investigate both man-made and natural threats. Students will learn the principles of public safety within the context of Canadian legislation, gaining valuable skills in investigative and analytical problem-solving. Program Structure

The Bachelor of Public Safety (Honours) program is structured over a period of four years and includes a combination of academic terms and co-op work terms. The program is designed to integrate classroom learning with real-world experience through the following structure:

  • Year 1: Academic One and Academic Two
  • Year 2: Academic Three and Academic Four
  • Year 3: Academic Five followed by two co-op work terms
  • Year 4: Academic Six, Academic Seven, and Academic Eight

Students have the opportunity to participate in two co-op work terms, which provide valuable real-world experience and networking opportunities. The program also emphasizes work-integrated learning, allowing students to apply their knowledge in practical settings. Please note that co-op placements are subject to availability and academic eligibility, and admission to the co-op program does not guarantee a placement.
