Established in 1965, and located on the former site of the Shingwauk Indian Residential School, Algoma has a special mission to provide cross-cultural learning between Indigenous communities and other communities in Northern Ontario. Our campuses are located in Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins and Brampton. All programs are designed to meet the needs of the surrounding populations.

When you look back on your Algoma experience, our hope is that it will be defined by more than what you’ll learn in the classroom – that it will be the shared experiences that shape you, and the creation of bonds that will last.

This and more is what you can expect at Algoma. Where you’ll connect with the most diverse student body in Ontario. Where you’ll benefit from dedicated and caring faculty. Where you’ll find you’re true self and more.

At Algoma, you’ll have access to endless opportunities inside and outside the classroom, allowing for personal growth. You’ll learn from our spirited faculty and benefit from one-on-one interactions – that’s the Algoma advantage.
