The Livestock Production Certificate at the University of the Fraser Valley is designed for students seeking practical training in livestock management. This program equips students with essential skills in agribusiness, pest management, nutrient management, and farm safety. Students will gain hands-on experience and learn the latest practices in animal breeding, nutrition, and health, preparing them for a successful career in the livestock sector.

Program structure

The Livestock Production Certificate program is structured to provide comprehensive training over a duration of two semesters. Students can choose to study either full-time or part-time, with start dates available in January and September. The program is located at the Chilliwack campus at CEP.

  • A 250 square meter demonstration barn at the UFV Agriculture Centre for hands-on learning
